WASHINGTON, D.C.— The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) has announced the pending induction of Devdas M. Pai, Ph.D., P. E, Professor of Mechanical Engineering & Joint Professor of Bioengineering Director for Education & Outreach, NSF Engineering Research Center for Revolutionizing Metallic Biomaterials Associate Director, Center for Advanced Materials and Smart Structures (CAMSS), Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Department of Chemical, Biological and Bioengineering, North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, to its College of Fellows. Dr. Pai was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows For exceptional leadership in establishing the first B.S. and M.S. biomedical engineering degree programs at a historically black college/university.
