Thank you for joining AIMBE and your esteemed colleagues, including AIMBE President Christine E. Schmidt and Fellow Lihong Wang, in participating in a day dedicated to advocacy on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. AIMBE is proud to sponsor initiatives helping Fellows give-back and advocate for the field.
This event will begin with a networking dinner on the evening of Monday, February 11th. An advocacy training breakfast will be hosted at the host hotel Tuesday morning, Feb. 12th and will be followed by a group excursion to Capitol Hill for meetings with your lawmakers and staff.
In addition to meeting with your lawmakers, a full-day will be provided including a tour of the Capitol, a group photo on the steps of the Capitol, a visit to the Library of Congress, and a selfie on the steps of the Supreme Court.
AIMBE has booked your hotel arrangements according to your travel plans. AIMBE will cover the costs of your Monday-night hotel, Monday-night group dinner, and transportation to Capitol Hill on Tuesday (if registered by Jan. 1). You are responsible for arranging your flight travel. AIMBE will work with you and your government affairs representative in the new year to schedule your Hill appointments.
If you plan to attend AIMBE’s workshop on Navigating the Nexus of Regulatory Science, Policy, and Entrepreneurship on Monday, February 11, AIMBE will additionally cover the costs of your Sunday-night hotel room. Only Fellows participating in the Capitol Hill Day and the Workshop, and have registered by Jan. 1, are eligible for this benefit.
The Monday evening networking dinner and Tuesday morning advocacy training will be held at the Host Hotel, which is walking distance to your Hill appointments:
