WASHINGTON, D.C.— The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) has announced the pending induction of Todd A. Kuiken, M.D., Ph.D., Professor, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Northwestern University Professor, Biomedical Engineering, Northwestern University Professor, Surgery, Northwestern University Director, Center for Bionic Medicine, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago Director, Amputee Services, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; Biomedical Engineering; Surgery, Northwestern University; Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, to its College of Fellows. Dr. Kuiken was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows For seminal contributions to the field of bionic medicine, including the development and clinical deployment of targeted muscle reinnervation.
