AIMBE Congressional Briefings

AIMBE’s Congressional Briefing Series on Capitol Hill

This series of presentations provides members of Congress and their staffers with important insight into the contributions of medical and biological engineers in medical discovery and innovation, as well as the critical role of federal science funding. Medical and biological engineers, particularly AIMBE Fellows, are working on novel treatments, developing technologies to earlier diagnose diseases, and developing methods to lower the cost of health care.

The briefing series, From Discovery to Development: The Role of Medical and Biological Engineering in Medical Research, Treatment, and Innovation, begins with a focus on breakthroughs in brain research, followed by injury biomechanics, and more.
