WASHINGTON, D.C.—The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) has announced the induction of Maria Angela Franceschini, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Radiology, Radiology Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, to its College of Fellows. Dr. Franceschini was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows for outstanding contributions in biomedical optics, particularly the development and application of near infrared spectroscopy methods for measuring the brain.
