WASHINGTON, D.C.—The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) has announced the induction of Saurabh Sinha, Ph.D., Professor of Computer Science and Willett Faculty Scholar; Co-Director, NIH Center of Excellence for Big Data to Knowledge; Professor, Carl R. Woese Institute of Genomic Biology, Computer Science and Institute for Genomic Biology, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, to its College of Fellows. Dr. Sinha was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows for seminal bioinformatics methods in understanding gene regulation, including characterization of motifs, enhancers and the cis-regulatory code.
