Professor Kenneth Diller has been inducted as a Fellow of the Society for Cryobiology and will be recognized with the 2013 Luyet Medal for his extensive work in cryobiology.
Diller, who has been a major figure in bio heat transfer problems for the last 43 years, is one of the 22 distinguished Fellows of Society that are nominated by the Board of Governors on the basis of their research and continued service to the society. Diller will be awarded his medal at the 2014 Society for Cryobiology reception during the 2014 World Forum on Biology – Joint Meeting of the Society for In Vitro Biology (SIVB) and the Society for Cryobiology (SfC), held from May 29 through June 4, 2014.
