Appointment of Louis J. Soslowsky, PhD, as Associate Dean for Research Integration

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Louis J. Soslowsky, PhD, Fairhill Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Professor of Bioengineering, as Associate Dean for Research Integration in the Perelman School of Medicine. His appointment is effective January 1, 2017.

In this new role created specifically to address and strategize on the increasingly important collaborative opportunities across campus, Dr. Soslowsky will help to bridge research efforts and strategy between PSOM and partnering schools and programs. He will serve as the point person for representing the PSOM in discussions and planning on research integration and scientific technological investments. In addition, Dr. Soslowsky will continue his role overseeing the Research Core Facilities, a responsibility he has held since June 2015. In this role, he oversees all aspects of biomedical research core facilities within the PSOM, guiding the strategic planning and linked resource allocations of PSOM-based research cores. We know you will all agree that his contributions to our scientific community in this capacity in a relatively short amount of time has been remarkable. Without doubt, Dr. Soslowsky will bring the same enthusiasm and integrity to this new role.

Dr. Soslowsky’s strong experience with research core facilities, emerging technologies, and collaborations across campus makes him uniquely qualified to represent our faculty, School and University, and we look forward to the innovative and exciting partnerships which will be facilitated by and emerge from his leadership.

Please join us in offering congratulations to Dr. Soslowsky on his appointment as Associate Dean for Research Integration.
