WASHINGTON, D.C.— The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) has announced the pending induction of James D. Weiland, Ph.D., Professor of Ophthalmology and Biomedical Engineering, Ophthalmology and Biomedical Engineering, University of Southern California, to its College of Fellows. Dr. Weiland was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows For outstanding contributions to electronic retinal prosthesis for the blind and bioelectronic implant technology.
