The National Academy of Sciences announced today the election of 120 members and 30 international members in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. Those elected today bring the total number of active members to 2,662 and the total number of international members to 556. WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) has announced the election of Ruth Nussinov, Ph.D., to its College of Fellows. Dr. Nussinov was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows for her landmark innovative contributions, altering textbook paradigms, including dynamic, energy landscape ensemble-based conformational selection and population shift, and allostery.

The College of Fellows is comprised of the top two percent of medical and biological engineers in the country.
