Teri W. Odom, Ph.D.

Joining the company of some of history’s most distinguished scientists, Northwestern Engineering’s Teri W. Odom has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS).

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) has announced the election of Teri W. Odom, Ph.D., Charles E. and Emma H. Morrison Professor, Chemistry Dept., Northwestern University to its College of Fellows. Dr. Odom was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the AIMBE College of Fellows for the development of optical nanoprobes based on anisotropic metal nanoparticles for bioimaging and therapeutics.

The College of Fellows is comprised of the top two percent of medical and biological engineers in the country. The most accomplished and distinguished engineering and medical school chairs, research directors, professors, innovators, and successful entrepreneurs comprise the College of Fellows.
