Li publishes two new books on implant infections

Following publishing his first two books on Orthopedic Biomaterials in 2017 and 2018, Bingyun Li in orthopedics has recently published his third and fourth edited books, titled “Racing for the Surface – Pathogenesis of Implant Infection and Advanced Antimicrobial Strategies” and “Racing for the Surface – Antimicrobial and Interface Tissue Engineering.”

These two new books have a total of 51 chapters, offer strong input from academia, industry and clinicians, and cover the latest research in biofilm, infection, antimicrobial strategies and integration of both antimicrobial and osteoinductive properties in reducing and treating infections. Dr. Bingyun Li Inducted into Medical and Biological Engineering Elite

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) has announced the induction of Bingyun Li, Ph.D., Professor and Director of Nanomedicine Laboratory, Department of Orthopedics, School of Medicine, West Virginia University, Morgantown, to its College of Fellows.

Election to the AIMBE College of Fellows is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to a medical and biological engineer. The College of Fellows is comprised of the top two percent of medical and biological engineers. College membership honors those who have made outstanding contributions to “engineering and medicine research, practice, or education” and to “the pioneering of new and developing fields of technology, making major advancements in traditional fields of medical and biological engineering, or developing/implementing innovative approaches to bioengineering education.”

Dr. Li was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows for “outstanding contributions in developing materials for orthopedic and biomedical applications, services to the biomaterial/orthopedic communities, and advocacies for research.”
