AIMBE Capitol Hill Day

Now, more than ever, lawmakers need to hear from you on issues that matter to biomedical research and the scientific enterprise. With federal policy shifts impacting science and engineering, AIMBE Fellows—recognized experts in the field—must play a key role in shaping these conversations. This is a crucial time to engage Members of Congress. Advocacy engagement is critical as we come together to navigate challenges and strengthen our collective efforts. Fellow participation helps strengthen our shared mission and highlights the importance of scientific leadership in advocacy. Let’s stand together in support of biomedical innovation and the future of our field.

Each year during the Annual Event, AIMBE hosts a Capitol Hill Day for Fellows to participate in congressional visits. In 2025, more than 100 Fellows across 50 institutions and 31 states are expected to participate in meetings with their Members of Congress to advocate for biomedical research. Fellows attend visits together in groups by state for the most impact. Fellows can expect 2-3 meetings with their congressional delegation.

AIMBE makes it simple by arranging congressional meetings, hosting an advocacy training luncheon, and providing suggested talking points for the Hill visits. We also arrange transportation to Capitol Hill.

Join us at the AIMBE Annual Event to participate in our Capitol Hill Day.
