WASHINGTON, D.C.—The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) has announced the induction of Edward M. Schwarz, Ph.D., Richard and Margaret Burton Distinguished Professor in Orthopaedics, Director of the Center for Musculoskeletal Research, Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, University of Rochester, to its College of Fellows. Dr. Schwarz was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows for ground-breaking research on translational treatments to immunologic bone destruction due to rheumatoid arthritis, infections, tumors, and peri-prosthetic bone loss.
